About Us
Founded in 1981, Symphony Chorus of New Orleans performs primarily the great masterpieces for chorus and orchestra. A volunteer group drawing singers from all over the city, it serves as the Principal Chorus of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

Each year, the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans donates its performance services to the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra for all choral programs scheduled by the LPO during its subscription concert series. The chorus also produces its own concerts and takes part in the Louisiana Philharmonic's annual performance of Handel's Messiah during the Christmas season.
